Fire companies responded to two fires at neighboring homes on Uebelhoer Road Wednesday.

A disconnected gas line was found in one home. Firefighters turned off the gas and put out the fire; however, next door at another fire crews found the body of Andrew Sindrewicz, 49.

Investigators believe he set the fire in the first home belonging to his sister before igniting combustibles and a gas line in his home.

His cause of death is under investigation. Two animals also died in the fire.
