Monroe Avenue Welcomes New Rite Aid
Rite Aid opened a new store on Rochester's Monroe Avenue.
City leaders cut the ribbon Thursday to welcome the pharmacy to the neighborhood.
The store features a "Customer World" design, meaning planners used customer input to design it, including expanding merchandise selections, improving store navigation and making the pharmacy a focal point.

The store is the first of its kind in our area.
"We had participation from the neighborhood association here today. They came out, they love the store, it was a long time in coming, but it's here today and everybody is excited about what they see," said Dave Thomas of Rite Aid.
The new Rite Aid is directly across the street from the old store and pharmacy, which will be demolished.
