Rochester Man Cleared of Murder, Robbery Charges
A Rochester man was acquitted of murder and robbery charges after the shooting death of an East High School freshman a year ago.
In the bench trial, acting State Supreme Court Justice Stephen Sirkin found Blake Alford, 23, not guilty of killing Donald Stevens.
The 15-year-old was found shot to death on Hudson Avenue near Warsaw Street in September of last year.
The teenager had been robbed of a gold chain around his neck.
This was Alford's third trial after the previous two were declared mistrials.
