Black Friday has come and gone and retail outlets are seeing a moderate bump in sales. If you missed those in-store deals, you'll have another chance.
On this Cyber Monday, more and more shoppers and retailers are buying into the idea of grabbing that perfect deal without having to step foot inside a store. Free shipping and half priced merchandise are just some of the online deals retailers are offering..
But shopping online has its drawbacks. Identity theft is a growing issue. The State Consumer Product Safety Commission says you should take extra precautions when shopping online. The commission also is urging shoppers to use financial restraint.
“One of the big mistakes is people use debit cards and they don't keep track of every charge they are making or even a check card,” said the Honorable John Ninfo, a U.S. Bankruptcy Court Judge. “You need to keep that ledger up. I did that one year where I bought everything with my debit card and I saw my balance going down and there's no question that I started making different spending decisions."
Once you prepare yourself for the online shopping, the possibilities are endless. The online deals are practically unlimited this year as retailers look to sell inventory. A simple Google search will bring up a number of Cyber Monday websites catering to those looking for the best online deal. Here are a some of the sites you’ll find online.
