Local Non-Profit Gets State Money for Homeless Support
Eastman Commons of Monroe County is one of six organizations in New York State that will receive new government funding for the homeless.
The governor is awarding $25 million to more than 500 homeless projects throughout the state.
The money is expected to provide 667 new beds in Rochester, New York City and Troy. It will also help fund support services.
Eastman Commons, a local non-profit housing group, will receive $3 million.
