Greece police are still searching for suspects after three men were found shot to death at an apartment complex Tuesday night.
Neighbors told police they heard gunshots and screams.
Police found the bodies of three men inside the Holyoke Park Apartments around 8:20 p.m. Tuesday; the three died from gunshot wounds.
Greece Police Chief Todd Baxter said it appears the victims were targeted, possibly under suspicious circumstances.
“This was not a random incident,” said Baxter, who said drugs or money could have been motives.
He said more than 20 investigators are working around the clock on this case.
Baxter said it appears at least one of the victims lived at the apartment.
Greece police are working with the Monroe County Medical Examiner's Office to identify the victims.
Greece police spent Tuesday night at the scene investigating. That effort continued throughout the day Wednesday and involved some 20 officers, not only from the Greece Police Department, but also several other agencies.
Baxter called the killings “unacceptable,” and “not the norm” for the town of Greece.
“We take this very seriously,” said Baxter. “The resources we're leveraging to put onto this should put the community at a little ease, that we're not going to tolerate this kind of incident.”
