Corfu Man Arrested for High Speed Chase

Genesee County sheriff's deputies arrested a Corfu man Wednesday for a police pursuit and crash on March 8 in the city of Batavia.

Louis Reeb IV, 19, faces numerous charges in the town of Batavia and the city of Batavia, including DWI, unlawfully fleeing from a police officer and traveling 100 mph in a 30 mph speed zone.

Deputies said Reeb led them on a high speed chase on March 8 that ended when Reeb lost control of his pickup and crashed into a house on South Main Street in Batavia.

He was hospitalized until Tuesday. Police said Reeb turned himself into police Wednesday. He was arraigned in Batavia Town Court and released under supervision.

He will appear in Batavia City Court on March 31.
