Starting Monday, dozens of state parks across New York will close, the victims of a state budget in limbo. That includes the Chimney Bluffs State Park in Wayne County.

Visitors told YNN Sunday afternoon it was a near perfect day for a walk at Chimney Bluffs, but it was also a time to embrace the park one last time before it closes.

Chimney Bluffs State Park in Wayne County is one of 41 state parks that will be closing. 23 will have reduced services.

Governor Paterson's office wanted to cut $20 Million of the state park budget to help fix the $9.2 Billion state budget deficit. What that means for the park is the facilities will be closed and the park's grass and trails won't be maintained by the state.

That has some visitors upset and others worried.

Park officials say they are also planning on shutting down 14 of the 35 historic sites across the state.
