A local real estate broker is part of a home buying and selling program that offers rebates and discounts to workforce heroes called Home for Heroes.

Participating listing agents, mortgage brokers, attorneys and home inspectors offer discounted services and fees on home purchases.

The program is available for qualifying members of the military, people who work in law enforcement, firefighters, teachers, pastors and health care providers.

Michele Ladd is a buyers agent. She has agreed to give a portion of her commission back to buyers she works with.

"I have a son who is Marine. He was deployed twice. He is back safely now and I would do everything I can to help our guys and gals as a way of saying thank you. They have served our community in anyway and this is a program that helps them whether they are buying or selling," Ladd said.

For more information on the Home for Heroes program and more specific qualifications, call 585-729-0966.
