Deer Drops In For Dinner At Restaurant
It's probably safe to say that no one expected this particular guest for dinner. Management and customers at a Genesee County restaurant say a deer crashed through a window during the dinner hour.
It happened at the Applebee's on Route 63 in Batavia just after 7 p.m. Sunday.
Some customers settling down to dinner instead got glass in their food when the deer decided to drop in.
"My back was to it about two booths away," said Bruce Beck, who's visiting from Wisconsin. "My hand was down like this because I was at the edge of the booth and I turned around and the deer was hunching down running right at my hand. I pulled my hand back and watched this deer almost slide into the next booth and then turn left."
Nobody was hurt during the "visit." Witnesses say the deer ran through the restaurant before people were able to herd if out the front door.
