Police: South Carolina Arrest Not Linked to Drexel
A South Carolina man faces several charges, including attempted kidnapping, but police said he does not appear to be connected to Chili teenager Brittanee Drexel's disappearance, at this time.

The Myrtle Beach Police Department said Timothy S. Taylor, 37, of McClellanville, South Carolina, turned himself into authorities.

Taylor is accused of trying to kidnap a 20-year-old woman last week. The woman said Taylor and two other men pulled up next to her in a van and tried to pull her in, but she was able to get away.

Taylor is charged with attempted kidnapping and assault and battery.

The incident allegedly happened about two blocks away from the BlueWater Resort, the last place Drexel was seen in April of last year.

Myrtle Beach Police said there is no evidence Taylor is connected to Drexel's disappearance.
