Strong Hospital confirms a man involved in a motorcycle crash Thursday morning has died.

Justin Melia, 20, was a 2008 graduate of Spencerport High School and a member of the Rangers' wrestling team.

New York State Police said he lost control of his bike on the on ramp to Route 390 North from Route 490 East in Gates around 10:45 a.m.

The cycle hit a guardrail and was thrown from the bike. He was rushed to Strong Hospital where he later died. State Police believe speed was a factor in the crash. They said Melia was only a permitted driver and didn't have a full license.
