It's Day 2 of training camp as the Bills took the field for the first of their double sessions.

Tempers flared briefly at St. John Fisher College Friday morning courtesy of the first scuffle of training camp. A late and hard hit by Aaron Maybin on Fred Jackson riled up Geoff Hangartner who was not afraid to let Maybin know how he felt about it.

"He hit our starting running back in the back when he wasn't looking, so I had to let him know we didn't appreciate that, and the O-line is gonna stick up for our guys. You always want your teammates to have your back and if it was somebody else, I'd jump in there with them. I think it kind of builds team spirit," said Hangartner, lineman.

"I'm never one to shy away from the contact portion of the game. So, if there's no one willing to get things started, I'll start things off for us. Offensive players always look after each other, and after it happened, there were defensive guys sticking up for us. That's just the nature of the game. You're gonna have guys stick up for one another, but truthfully, as a team, that's what you need," said Maybin, linebacker.

It's over and done now though as both Maybin and Hangartner said there will be no lingering effects.
