The Monroe County Sheriff's Department identified the body found August 8 in the Genesee River in Chili as a Rochester Psychiatric Center patient.

Authorities said the body of Eric Klein, 44, was found in some tree limbs along the shore in about three feet of water in the river off of Weidner Road behind Empire Beef.

Crews had to clear a path through a wooded area to the river in order to remove the body from the water.

Investigators said Klein's last known address was listed as the Rochester Psychiatric Center.

Sheriff's Department investigators said the Monroe County Medical Examiner's office is awaiting toxicology results in order to determine a cause of death.
