They were keeping the beat in downtown Rochester this holiday weekend, and the Drum Corps Associates 2010 World Champion was crowned Sunday night.

The nearly 2,000 performers belong to more than 30 expert drum and bugle corps from around the world.
YNN met up a team from Connecticut getting ready for its last performance. Despite the cooler weather, the group says it enjoys the event in Rochester, year after year.
"They do a great job with what they do downtown. They take care of the corps, the crowd has been great, the restaurants have been great. Downtown for “I and E” Friday nights has been absolutely remarkable," said Bernie Malesky, of Connecticut.
The Redding Buccaneers took home the gold medal. Rochester's own Empire Statesmen were in the finals as well, they placed third.
