Rochester police are investigating a double shooting Tuesday evening on the city's northwest side.

It happened shortly before 6 p.m. on Texas Street.

Responding to the call of shots fired, police found two men in their 20s shot in front of 19 Texas Street.

Witnesses told police a car drove by and someone started firing. One victim was shot in the right side of his face; the other man was shot in the upper leg.

Both victims were taken to Strong Hospital, where police said the two are in stable condition. Their names have not yet been released.
