Greece Police Investigate Woman Stabbed to Death
Greece police are investigating why a woman was stabbed to death and her son was also found with stab wounds Wednesday night in Greece.

Greece Police Chief Todd Baxter said 911 received a call Wednesday night for a man gasping for air. When they arrived, they found a man in his 20s on the front porch with several stab wounds, including one to the neck.

Baxter said when police searched the house on Old English Drive, they found a woman in her 50s, who had been stabbed to death.

The man, who is considered a person of interest right now, is still recovering from surgery.

"He's sedated at this time. The nature of the injuries are around the neck so that's giving us some difficulty along with sedation in finding out the other side of the story. We're leaving this investigation wide open as we should. We don't' want to lock ourselves in a corner until we get all the facts. That goes along with the medical examiner's officer, our evidence technicians gathering evidence from inside the house they've been painstakingly doing for hours and hours to make sure the facts are straight," Chief Baxter said.

Police said they were called to the house once before many years ago for a domestic incident.

No one else was in the home at the time of the stabbings. They said the crime appears to be an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community.

YNN has learned the names of the stabbing victims through neighbors and friends, but has chosen to withhold the names until they are released by police.
