There's a new store in town, just in time for the holiday shopping season, where you can shop and help out others at the same time.
The Volunteers of America opened its newest resale store on Culver Road and Main Street in Rochester.
VOA created seventeen jobs as a result of this new facility.
A portion of the profits from the store go to fund programs for the non-profit organization.
"We're very excited to be in the Beechwood community. Certainly we need their support to be successful. When they turn a profit , a percentage of that profit goes to support local human services that we provide, " said Store Manager Kristen Broomfield.
VOA's regional programs serves more than 5,000 individuals a year, providing shelter and meals to those in need.
