Former City Employee Convicted of Sexual Assault
A former Rochester city employee was convicted today in connection with the sexual assault of a woman last year.
Jurors convicted Luis Acosta of attempted criminal sex act in the first degree.
He was acquitted of a first degree rape charge.
Authorities said Acosta was a city property conservation inspector when he assaulted the woman in her home.
Acosta faces up to 15-years in prison when he is sentenced January 25th.
He was terminated from his position with the city in 2009.
