Sodus Bay Algae Cleanup Project Receives Federal Grant
A project to clean up algae from Sodus Bay is one of nine projects around the Great Lakes to split $115,000 from the
Healing Our Waters-Great Lakes Coalition.
Organizations that receive the grants will participate in a federal program to clean up pollution, prevent species invasions, and rebuild habitat and wetlands.
One project will remove noxious algae in Sodus Bay; another will restore the lower Salmon Creek watershed in northern New York.
