Athletic Field Named After Rochester Sports Legend
A Rochester sports legend received a special honor Saturday at his alma mater.
The athletic field at Franklin High School is now named in honor of Trent Jackson. It's new name is the Trent Jackson Memorial Athletic Complex.
Jackson is considered one of the greatest student athletes, coaches and teachers in Rochester history.
Jackson died in March 2007. His widow, Pamela Jackson-Yelder and his children have worked closely with the Rochester City School Board and district administration to come up with a way that his name and efforts at Franklin and the Rochester community will never be forgotten.
The dedication took place at half time of today's game.
