The Centers for Disease Control said at least 42 people were infected with salmonella linked to Turkish pine nuts sold at Wegmans.
Of those cases, 26 were in New York State, and 19 were in Monroe County. One person was hospitalized but since recovered.
Wegmans recalled 5,000 pounds of the nuts sold in bulk between July 1st and October 18th.
The CDC said tests linked most of the salmonella cases to the nuts sold in bulk bins. The CDC said some of the nuts were also used in prepared foods sold at Wegmans stores.
Wegmans is urging anyone with questions about the recall to call the Consumer Affairs department at 1-800-Wegmans.
