So, how much wasabi would you be able to eat in one sitting?

Well, six people took that challenge Saturday night at California Rollin'.

In an effort to ramp up business during the winter season at the Port of Rochester, the owner of the restaurant held the first Wasabi Bomber Eating Contest. Six guys were tasked with eating as many bombers, or extremely hot wasabi eggs, as possible.

"On an average when someone comes in, a person will eat one. We're starting everyone off with a plate of 15 and if they finish off the plate of 15, we will replenish them with as many as they can eat in a 10 minute time frame," said Tom Beaman, general manager.

The winner, Markko Falletta of Webster ate 15 wasabi eggs. He received $250 and his picture on the wall until next year's contest.
