City to Vote on Funds for USDA to Scare Crows Away
City council will vote on a plan Tuesday night whether or not to have the U.S. Department of Agriculture step in to scare the pesky crows away from Rochester for good.

The city needs to approve funds of up to $21,000 for the U.S.D.A. to use devices such as spotlights, crow distress calls, and pyrotechnics. The process would last for five nights and take place along Washington Square Park and the river trail.

The proposal comes after St. Mary's Church cut down 21 trees as an unsuccessful attempt to get rid of the birds.
