Mathias Smith pleaded guilty to one count of hindering prosecution in court Thursday morning.

Joseph Mitchell and Eddie Palmer were found in a camping trailer located on a property associated with Smith after escaping from the Monroe County Jail last March.

Smith admitted that he provided shelter to Mitchell and also supplied him with food during his period of escape.

Smith pleaded guilty in October to federal charges of concealing an escaped prisoner.

He is scheduled to return to court March 29th.
