Tickets for the 11th annual Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival are going fast. Two of the headlining events have already sold out.
Folks started lining up at the Eastman Theatre on Gibbs Street early Friday morning. Tickets for the Norah Jones and Steve Martin shows were sold out by early Friday afternoon.
Other headliners include Diana Krall and Dweezil Zappa. They will all perform during the festival, which runs from June 22 to June 30th.
Organizers say tickets sales were very steady on the first day.
"We have tried to make as easy for everybody as possible, I think online is really the way to go these days. You don't even have to leave your house and it’s convenient and it’s a very simple process so we hope that will pick up over the next few months and for the years to come with the festival,” said Amanda Antinore of the Rochester Jazz Fest.
Tickets for the events range from $55 to $120.
