Genesee County Jail Inmate Faces New Charges
A Genesee County Jail inmate faces additional charges after allegedly attacking a fellow inmate.
The Genesee County Sheriff's Office said 26-year-old Derick Barker, of Georgia, choked another inmate until he was unconscious Friday morning.
The incident allegedly happened during a card game.
Barker was charged with strangulation and assault and remains in jail.
He was already in jail on unrelated charges.
