Hundreds of former Kodak employees filled a room at Greece hotel Friday to learn what health care options are available to them should Kodak end their coverage in or after bankruptcy.

MVP ran the informational sessions. The health care company insures 23,000 Kodak retirees and their spouses.

MVP told the Medicare-eligible former employees that should they need to, they could keep their coverage through comparable plans.

Several retirees at the meetings made their careers at Kodak and said they came to the sessions so they could plan for the future... whatever that might be.

"I worked 32 years at Kodak and I never paid for health care, so whatever happens, I can't be too angry about it," said Carl Giesselman of Greece. "Certainly hope I don't have to pay, but we can pay if we have to. It won't take a lot of food out of my mouth. Some people aren't that fortunate. I feel sorry for those people."

"I spent my entire life there and I can't really complain because Kodak did a lot of things for me and the Rochester community," said Jesse Gamble of Rochester. "I'm somewhat concerned because it will be an additional expense I'll have to incur but this is why I'm doing work now to project what my maximum cost would be if I lose coverage."

MVP will hold another four meetings next week Feb 6th at the Holiday Inn Airport. No reservations are required.
