Brockport High School Football Coach Dies of Cancer
A long time teacher and coach in the Brockport Central School District has died.
The district said Greg Pelletier passed away Wednesday, following a courageous battle with cancer. Pelletier was diagnosed with bladder cancer last March.
We got to know coach Pelletier in October, when he was on the sidelines coaching the Brockport High School football team. Pelletier coached the Blue Devils for 10 years.
Superintendent Garry Stone said Pelletier's death is a huge loss for the school and community and he extended thoughts and prayers to Pelletier's family.
The district said the high school will be open Thursday at 10 a.m. for students and staff to gather. Counselors will also be available.
