Dayton Street Shooting Victims Identified
Rochester police released the names of three men shot on Dayton Street Monday evening.
Police said Lawrence Richardson, 22, Clifford Gardner, 18, and Kenneth Mitchell, 23, were walking on Dayton Street when a male suspect walked past them, pulled out a handgun, and fired multiple shots.
All three victims were shot at least once in their torsos. They ran to a home on Dayton Street where one of the victims lives and then were transported to Strong Hospital.
Police said Richardson was pronounced dead at the hospital. Gardner and Mitchell remain in guarded condition.
Police believe the suspect was dropped off in the area just before the shooting. They say they do not know the motive but believe it was not a random attack.
