The girl told police that the man approached her in a dark, utility-style van and asked if she wanted a ride home because he felt like being nice. The girl walked away and contacted police.

Police located the van Friday, stopped it and questioned the man behind the wheel.

They determined that the driver was the man that approached the girl on Wednesday.

Police are not releasing the name of the man, and no charges have been filed.
