New Evidence in 1979 Cold Case
There could be new evidence in a 32-year-old killing in Livingston County.

In 1979, a woman's body was found in a Caledonia cornfield.

Livingston County Sheriff's deputies say "Jane Doe" was shot and left in the cornfield, stripped of any identification. Authorities believe she was between 13 and 19 years old.

Her body was recently dug up to gather DNA evidence.

The Sheriff says new forensic technology turned up traces of pollen only found in the American Southwest.

The girl was also wearing jewelry typically sold in New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah.

Albuquerque police are now trying to identify the girl.
