City Council Approves 2012-2013 Budget
Rochester City Council Members voted Tuesday night and approved the 2012-2013 city budget.
The $488 million budget includes lower property tax rates and an increase in water and several other fees.
Council members also approved the city school district budget of $705 million, which is slated to add 54 teachers.
Also on the agenda, which passed, was legislation to enact a yearlong moratorium on hydrofracking within city limits.
