A Greece woman learned her sentence Wednesday after she was convicted of assaulting a six-month old baby.
Tina Sardisco was sentenced to three years in prison and three years post-release supervision.
She was convicted in April of reckless assault of a child and reckless assault of a child by a day care provider.
Prosecutors say Sardisco shook a child hard enough to cause bleeding on its retinas and brain back in May of 2011.
Sardisco has maintained that she was trying to save the baby from choking.
