Horses Loose on Highway, Man Charged
A Canandaigua man faces charges after his horses were found loose on the highway.
44-year-old Michael Welte faces criminal nuisance charges, because police say the horses' fence was inadequate.
Ontario County Sheriff's Deputies say they also found a ram in need of treatment for a horn growing in its eye.
As a result, Welte is also charged with Failure to Provide Sustenance. The Ontario County Humane Society helped with the investigation.
Welte will appear in South Bristol town court.
