Music blared in the 19th ward Saturday thanks to the 5th Annual Music Fest at St. Monica's Church.
The free event featured live entertainment and food for everyone that stopped by.
With more than three hundred people that enjoyed the sun, music and cookouts, all walks of life from the Rochester community were brought together.
Kathy Murty, St. Monica's Music Fest Coordinator, said, "It grew bigger--that this could be our gift to the whole entire neighborhood, to ask all the people around here to come, to enjoy free food, free music, sit outdoors and lavish this wonderful weather."
The music fest began with a classic jazz big band and followed with gospel and rhythmic groups throughout the evening.
