Geneva Schools Holding Open House for DeSales Parents and Students
The Geneva City School District is holding an open house for prospective parents and students of the former DeSales High School.

The Board of Directors at DeSales decided last week to close the last Catholic High School in the Finger Lakes. The board chair said the school fell 20 students and $90,000 short of what it needed to keep going.

The closest Catholic High Schools are in Syracuse and Rochester.

With only four weeks until the school year begins, the Geneva City School District is opening its doors to the DeSales community. An athletic informational meeting is being held Wednesday night from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the High School library.

An open house with the Superintendent of Schools, teachers, and current students is planned for 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
