Police in Rochester have arrested two men in connection with the death of another man last weekend.
Police charged 23-year-old Miles Mitchell and 25-year-old James Hillyard, both of Rochester, with second degree murder and first degree robbery.
Police said Mitchell and Hillyard beat and shot 27-year-old Joshua Groat on Whitney Street back on the 25th. Groat later died at the hospital.
Police said help from the community resulted in the arrest of the two suspects.
"All these conversations that we have about homicides – what we need is people to come forward and that's how we solve these cases," said Chief James Sheppard of the Rochester Police Department.
Sheppard says the investigation is ongoing. He's asking anyone who has information about this homicide to come forward.
