Olympic soccer gold medalist Alex Morgan joined members of the University of Rochester Medical Center in a sports injury clinic at Total Sports Experience in Gates.

About 80 youth soccer players from around the area were invited to attend the clinic and meet Alex.

The clinic was aimed at teaching youth athletes injury prevention. Morgan says coaches and players both need to play a role to prevent players getting injured.

"This definitely could have helped me when I was younger, and it is great that they have this opportunity to learn today from some professionals and from me helping them, so I hope that coaches are here to take notes and take it back to their practices and put it to practice," Morgan said.
