Rochester police say two children went to the hospital after they were bit by a
pit bull.

This happened at the intersection of Avenue D and Remington Street shortly before 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon.

Police say two five-year-old children were bitten on the legs and lower bodies by the pit bull. The two children were taken to the hospital.

No word yet on the exact severity of their injuries.

Police said the owner of the pit bull will be cited.
