With the start of the Democratic National Convention only two days away, some New York democrats are already headed to Charlotte.
YNN caught up with 132nd district Assemblyman Joe Morelle Sunday morning at the Rochester airport.
He says he's looking forward to the convention and not only because of national politics.
"[A] number of breakfasts where dignitaries, Senator Schumer will address us, the governor will be at breakfast," said Morelle. "So it's an opportunity to hear what's going on in New York, as well a obviously what's going on around the rest of the country."
Morelle says the DNC is a great opportunity to network and catch up with other New York politicians.
