Driver Ticketed for Texting While Driving After Crash in Pittsford

Sheriff's deputies are investigating a serious crash on Clover Street in Pittsford.
According to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office, 18-year old Jonathan Carey-Grimm was heading southbound when he veered into the northbound lane and hit a landscaping truck head on.
The crash caused the car to spin out and hit another car being driven by an elderly woman.
Deputies say Grimm was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The woman was taken to the hospital as a precaution and the driver of the truck was not hurt.
Deputies say Grimm will be ticketed for operating a motor vehicle while using a portable device, or "texting while driving" and failure to keep right.
