Geneseo High School Athletes Suspended
The Geneseo High School Superintendent confirmed the school took disciplinary action
against 15 student-athletes who the superintendent said attended a party where alcohol was present.
Superintendent Timothy Hayes said the incident happened a week ago. He said as per Student-Athlete Code of Conduct, the students will be suspended for 15 days followed by
non-participation in 20 percent of the total competitions for a particular sport.
Hayes said the student-athletes were from various sports teams including football, soccer, cross-country and volleyball.
Hayes said this incident is not connected to the hazing incident involving the SUNY Geneseo volleyball team.
