Former Hillside Employee Indicted
A former employee at the Hillside Children's Center accused of having sexual contact with a teen at the center has been indicted by a grand jury.
Matthew King, 29, was indicted on five counts of criminal sexual act in addition to other charges related to inappropriate contact.
Police say the abuse happened while King was working as a youth care professional at Hillside. Investigators say they were called in after the teen eventually told a staff member.
King was with Hillside for a year and a half. Hillside says he underwent an extensive background check.
Hillside says King was immediately suspended when the allegations surfaced, and was fired in late July.
