Man Who Fell From Moving Car Dies, Driver Charged
Charges have been filed against a Genesee County man after a passenger in his car fell over the weekend and died later at the hospital.
According to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office, 22-year-old Orry Dowdell fell off a moving car Sunday morning in Wheatland, when he tried to climb from the cars backseat onto the roof. Strong Hospital confirmed that Dowdell has died.
The driver of the car, 25-year-old Timothy Gorton of LeRoy, now faces charges of aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
