Police were called to Sherwood Avenue, off of Chili Avenue, just before midnight.

When they arrived they found a woman, 22, with a gunshot wound to her torso. Police believe she was standing in the front yard of the home with a group of people when she was shot.

She was taken to Strong Hospital where she underwent emergency surgery and remains in critical condition..

Police do not have any suspects in custody but say it appears the shot came from a vehicle.

The victim's condition is not known, but police say she is expected to survive.
