Honor Flight uses donations to fly World War Two veterans to Washington DC, to visit the national memorial dedicated to those who served in the war.
Veterans fly free, and receive a warm welcome home when they return.
"We've flown more than a thousand World War Two veterans to Washington D.C. since Rochester became part of the Honor Flight network in 2009," says Rick Meier of Honor Flight Rochester.
This was the first of three trips scheduled for the fall. The next two trips are set for September 22nd and October 20th.
