Rochester firefighters helped pull a woman from the Genesee River gorge Sunday evening.
This happened off of Maplewood Avenue around 9 o'clock.
Fire officials say the woman fell from a trail along the gorge. Fire crews say the woman slid about sixty feet down a steep incline before grabbing hold of a tree.
Some bystanders saw the woman fall and called for help.
The woman was pulled up by rescue crews within an hour.
She suffered minor injuries.
Firefighters urge people to be careful when hiking the gorge trail alone after dark.
