'Festival of Food' to Benefit Foodlink

The Rochester Public Market held its "Festival of Food" Monday night to benefit Foodlink.
More than 1,200 people showed up to help raise money for a good cause at the local wine and food tasting event, which promotes local foods.
Samples were provided from area restaurants, wineries, bakeries and breweries, and organizers wore orange t-shirts in support of Hunger Action Month.
"It's a great opportunity for all these organization to promote what they do; but, it's also a way for us to raise awareness about hunger," said Jeanette Batiste, Foodlink COO.
All of the proceeds raised went to Foodlink, a regional food bank that serves 10 counties.
