Brighton Intersection Becomes State's First "Diverging Diamond"
A Brighton intersection is back open as crews finished transforming it into the state's first "diverging diamond."

The busy interchange of Interstate 590 and Winton Road was closed overnight so crews could start new traffic signals, put up temporary signs and pavement markings to create the new pattern, which moves traffic into opposite lanes to prevent left hand turns across oncoming traffic.
Construction continues through next month with more closures planned for the next two
weekends.
